Among the Impostors -- Margaret Peterson Haddix

The sequel to Among the Hidden starts with Luke being enrolled in a private boarding school.  I'm not going into a detailed description of the storyline.  Okay, okay...  Basically:  Luke has to deal with the trauma of fitting into a society that he's never even experienced, along with living with the day-to-day fear of being discovered by the Population Police.  That's still just broad strokes, but that's all you're getting.  Cliff's Notes I am not.

I'm standing by my previous opinion.  If I had read these books at a younger age, I would have loved them.  (Which, come to think of it, means that they'd be good recommendations, actually).  But they still aren't really doing it for me as an adult.

Apparently they're doing something, though.  I blazed through this one and I'm planning on checking out the next one today.  Weird.  I think that I'm just hooked on the plot, because I don't really care about Luke.  That might be why I'm not finding the books as engaging as I would have at age ten.

[Edit: Later.  Crap.  The third book is checked out.  Now I have to wait to find out what happens next!  I can't stand it!!  Don't the library patrons understand that they're supposed to leave all of the books here for me??]
