Summer Reading Lists.
- Horn Book -- A broad range of YA picks, from the quick & easy (and fantastic!) Dairy Queen and An Abundance of Katherines to the terrifyingly long This is All*. I'm putting Julius Lester's Cupid and Jordan Sonnenblick's Notes From the Midnight Driver on my To Read list**.
On the intermediate list, I want to read the third book in Catherine Fisher's Oracle trilogy (I'm in the middle of Book Two at the moment) and the Klages book, which I've been meaning to get to for ages. Glad to see A Drowned Maiden's Hair and Larklight on the list.
- NPR -- I've been meaning to take a look at Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life for a while, Josh mooned over a copy of Mouse Guard the last time we were at the comic shop, and I'm happy to see that The Plain Janes made the list. Anyone have a subscription to Tin House? Thoughts? Longer list here.
- Salon -- This is the first installment of a four part series. Not much to say, other than that I've been meaning to try Val McDermid for a while.
Other lists I should look at?
[Later: Another list roundup.]
*Which I still haven't read. I accidentally found out how it ends, and now I don't know if I want to put forth the effort.
**Again. I feel like I've written it down sixteen times.
