Last few books, final count and final thoughts on the 48HBC.
I'm not writing up full-length responses for these last few, because... Dude. I'm beat.
The Puzzling World of Winston Breen, by Eric Berlin: This would have been the perfect book for the eleven-year-old me. I even stopped to solve all of the puzzles, even though they cut into my reading time. What can I say? I'm a sucker for puzzles.
A Field Guide to High School, by Marissa Walsh: Cute, but meh. It made me want to re-read Tribes.
The Bermudez Triangle, by Maureen Johnson: Adorable and just plain GOOD. Now I REALLY can't believe someone wanted to yank it.
If a Tree Falls at Lunch Period, by Gennifer Choldenko: Briana and I both read this one -- she was especially happy that the Queen Bee Bitch character not only almost shared her name (just an extra 'n'), but ALSO spelled her nickname the same way.
Grand total: 9 books, 2293 pages. I'm pretty okay with my showing, though I'm a little embarrassed that I got so completely blown out of the water by Little Willow the Supernatural Reading Mutant. Next year, lady. Next yeeeeeear.
MotherReader, thanks for running things -- I had so much fun!
