When will they ever learn?
When will they ev-ver lea-arnnnn?
Challenging a book always makes people more interested in it:
"As soon as it was handed out ... everybody was reading it," Nicole, 14, said about "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," by Stephen Chbosky. "People could be seen in class reading it, and in gym class, too. A lot of people have finished it already because it was really good."
...
Nicole and several other students interviewed recently said the book was good, but not particularly upsetting in its sexual explicitness.
"It's appropriate. All kids know about the things that go on, even if parents might not want to know or might not think that we do. But we do," said Jessica, 14, another freshman who had read the book.
