Connecticut and Washington State Book Award winners announced.
In Connecticut:
The children's awards went to author Lane Smith, for John, Paul, George & Ben, and to illustrator Barbara McClintock for Adèle and Simon. Katharine Weber won the adult fiction award, for Triangle*. The rest of the winners are here.

The Scandiuzzi Children's Book award went to Jack Prelutsky, for picture book Behold the Bold Umbrellaphant and Other Poems, and to Brent Hartinger, for young adult novel Grand and Humble. The rest of the winners are here.

*Triangle was one of the few grown-up books I read last year, and I loved it. Almost a year later, I'm recommending it regularly at the library. So, yeah. It stuck with me.
