AZ cheerleading coach in trouble again.

From the East Valley Tribune:

The book, “Jake Reinvented” by Gordon Korman, was chosen by Higley Unified School District teacher Cristina Mallon. She chose the novel “because it pertains to real life high school situations” she thought the students “can relate to and enjoy,” she wrote in a letter to parents dated Oct. 2. The letter asked parents whether or not they would allow their child to read the novel.

This is just strange.  I don't understand why complaints are being made if she asked fpr parental permission before even assigning the book...  If they didn't want their kids to read it, didn't they just have to say no?

From another article:

Wednesday's complaint by the Brydens overshadowed the firing of district bus driver Christopher Donofrio, 26, of Gilbert, who was arrested Tuesday on charges of having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old female student at Williams.
