Philip Pullman and Pat Conroy should hang out.

Back in October, Conroy called book banners 'idiots'.  Now Pullman has called the people calling for a boycott of The Golden Compass movie 'nitwits'.

I am such a huge weenie.  The trailer makes me tear up every time I watch it -- I'm going to be a disaster in the theater.  (Epic fantasies get me all worked up, I don't know why.)
