- Vincent Puglisi has been convicted of first-degree murder. He and his co-defendant, Rex Ditto*, killed Alan Shalleck last year:
The men needed $450 to move so they decided that robbing and killing Shalleck, a 76-year-old retiree with little money, during a spanking party would be the best way to solve their financial quandary.
Shalleck was the author of over 100 Curious George cartoon shorts and collaborated with Margret Rey on many of the George sequels.
