Recent A/V.
- We're watching the UK Life On Mars, and, wow. Feeling. The. Love. The music, the acting, the writing, the plot, the visuals. Everything.
- Saw the The Lightning Thief, and, wow. Feeling. The. Disdain. What is it about Chris Columbus' digestive system that causes him to ingest a book, remove all of the charm and humor, and then ultimately produce a steaming pile of lameass crappy movie? (How many shots of Annabeth's bodacious ta-tas were really necessary? And really? Would she REALLY train with her hair all down and flow-y like that? But I DID like Steve Coogan and Rosario Dawson. Oh, and Pierce Brosnan's hair should have gotten its own credit at the end. Because, holy crow, it was an impressive mane. Fake, I assume, but impressive nonetheless.)
- We're 5/6ths of the way through Season Four of Dexter and JOHN LITHGOW IS SO SCARY. I knew he could be -- he's one of those ridiculously multi-talented people who can do anything -- but YOW. Watching it makes BOTH of us turn into big bundles of nerves. And usually it's just me.
- We stopped in at Best Buy a couple of days ago and I accidentally bought Seasons Three and Four of 90210. I SWEAR IT WAS AN ACCIDENT. I hate David Silver. And Brenda and Brandon.
- I heard this story on Fressssh Airrrrrr and promptly fell in love with the band. And then I suffered a mini nervous breakdown that went something like: OH MY GOD I'M NOW OFFICIALLY IN MY THIRTIES BECAUSE TERRY GROSS IS TELLING ME WHAT MUSIC I SHOULD LISTEN TO AND I'M (get ready for the bold) ACTUALLY OBEYING HER. Dammit. However, it should also be noted that Josh went out to Bull Moose and bought the CD for me (nice Joshie!) and had the following conversation with the clerk:
Clerk: Oh, this band is AWESOME!
Josh: Yeah, my wife heard them on NPR and now she's worried that she's a big music poseur.
Clerk: What's NPR?Sigh.
