Aha!
Yesterday, I was wondering about presidential (a term I'm using very broadly, as you'll soon see) children's books, and trying to think back to when the trend started.
I decided on Barbara Bush's Millie's Book, as there's been one per administration since, with that one about Socks (oh, and Buddy -- Poor old Buddy, I forgot about him), and then Lynne Cheney's books (I had no idea there were so many!).
But! It looks like those folks may have been innocently riding the wave begun by non other than Jimmy Carter. In today's Fusenews roundup, Betsy mentioned his Little Baby Snoogle-Fleejer. As she said, you just can't make these titles up.
Well, unless you're Jimmy Carter, I guess.
Buh-dum ching.
I did a cursory search for something by either of the Reagans, and although I found a plethora of children's books ABOUT R. Reagan, I didn't see one BY him. Or Nancy.
