Pumpkin beer links.
- Children's book FAIL.
- Will Spielberg direct two kidlit adaptations in a row?
- Sigh. When will people learn that Words on Butts are just an all around NO? (And... now I've got Blowin' in the Wind in my head...)
- Unshelved on Bill Peet's autobiography.
- This is the beer I'm drinking at the moment, by the way.
- Have you made a list of Cybils nominations? Because you can start posting 'em on October 1st. The more YA SF/F you post, the more I have to read.
- We recently watched Friday the 13th III and IV. I've torn the house apart looking for my notes (okay, not really, but I checked the pockets of, like, three pairs of pants), but no luck.
Short version? #3: AVOID! We realized, 20 minutes in, that it was shot in 3D (it was the ridiculous shot of the yo-yo coming at us (WHOAAAAA!)), and beyond that, it was as stupid as you'd guess. (The motorcycle gang was especially... well, we laughed a whole lot.)
Anyway, #4 featured a dog and some rabbits getting done in (off-screen, thankfully -- I've never seen another movie in which a Rabbit Senses Evil) and a pregnant girl getting it, AND BOTH baby Corey Feldman and my beloved Crispin Glover. Crispin Glover dances!:

- Although Josh and I don't generally jive on the literature (though he does love Monster Blood Tattoo, Richard Brautigan, Joan Aiken and Cruel Shoes), I'm fascinated by Alikewise.
- This one is for my sister.
- I need to mention, once again, how awesome Touching Evil is. (And not just because I keep whispering, "OH MY GOD I LOVE ROBSON GREEN SO MUCH" as we watch it.)
- Oh, wait. Now I've moved on to this one.
- Okay, time for food.
