The Mainely Murders bookstore opened yesterday...

...and, obviously, Josh and I went.

We brought home:

Whom the gods love Ring Midnight come Child's play House sitter

A few notes:

  • As I browsed the shelves, I realized I was in BIG TROUBLE. So I've already had to set a ground rule: Paula has promised not to allow me to buy more than five books at a time. We'll see how that goes.
  • They've got A LOT of fantastic books packed into a small space: Shelves of Soho Crime and Bitter Lemon and Felony & Mayhem and others. Ann and I kept walking around and petting them. Mystery geekfest!
  • One of their non-mystery-reading friends dropped by while I was there, and I was challenged to sell her a book. So I asked her this and that and then launched into a description of Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death. Which she proceeded to walk out with, thankyouverymuch.
  • I suspect I might be spending quite a bit of time there this summer.
