Shoutout from Birch Rock!

I got to Birch Rock this week expecting a small box of books from Amazon.

(Which arrived. But I only got to see the empty box, as all of the books were promptly snapped up by happy campers. Which, as I'm sure you know, was extremely satisfying. While I wish I could be here all of the time, I like that I'm able to do some librarianing from afar as well!)

What I didn't expect was the HUGE box of books (and super-nice note!) from Jenne Abramowitz at Scholastic. There's Fablehaven and some Greg Heffley, Alcatraz (Sanderson and Choldenko!), Alex Rider and Vladimir Tod and Mike Lupica and Gary Paulsen, funny books and adventures, all in a broad range of reading levels, and a bunch of nonfiction titles that I know will be hugely popular.

AND a Mary Downing Hahn that I'm totally going to read.

Because I do love Mary Downing Hahn.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. It was such a nice surprise and lovely gesture and just... HOORAY!
