From Missouri's Republic School District...

...most recently known to you for banning Slaughterhouse-Five and Twenty Boy Summer from their high school library, I bring you this ABSOLUTELY HORRIFYING NEWS STORY (believe me, caps are justified here) at the Springfield News-Leader:

A lawsuit filed against the Republic School District alleges school officials failed to protect a middle school girl from a male classmate who harassed her, sexually assaulted her, and raped her.

It gets much, much worse.

So, yeah. Clearly the school board should chill out about the library books and maybe work on the whole PROPER WAY TO HANDLE A SEXUAL ASSAULT thing. Or even PREVENTING them in the first place.
