And the "secure section"...

...in Republic High School's library is a go.

Brilliant!

So now, whenever a book is formally challenged, the school can avoid accusations of censorship by simply locking the book up!

Hooray!

Ag.

At the moment (as far as I can tell), the Secure Section will only house two books: Slaughterhouse Five and Twenty Boy Summer.

But I have no doubt that they will rapidly be joined by OTHER books that one or two people find offensive.

Whatever will be next??

Relatedly, I find it unfortunate that the Reuters headline on this story reads "Missouri local school board ends ban on Slaughterhouse Five", which is more than a little misleading.
