- The Bluewater school district in Ontario has decided to keep Timothy Findlay's The Wars on their list of approved teaching materials for senior-level classes.
- A group of parents in Murrieta, California, are demanding that John Berger's To The Wedding be removed from the eleventh grade International Baccalaureate program due to its use of the f-bomb. This, despite the fact that the assignment already required a permission slip and offered an alternate choice of reading.
- An animated version of Maurice Sendak's In the Night Kitchen has been removed from Meeker Elementary School library in Greeley, Colorado because of Mickey's nakedosity. Don't worry, kids! There's always YouTube:
