Due to a Minor Dog Emergency*...

...we ultimately bailed on the midnight screening of The Hunger Games, though until the MDE happened, we did have the fun of standing in line and checking out all of the sidebraids, body glitter, and amazing, amazing fan-made t-shirts. (I had no idea there was such a huge Team Haymitch contingent.)

There were also many, many leg bandannas.

Which was strange, as I'm pretty sure that Soleil Moon Frye doesn't have a cameo in the movie.

AND. There was a ton of rampant line cutting. Now, I get it when there's a pack of 12-year-olds running around (there were many), jumping in and out of line and picking up new recruits like (as Josh said) a giant, shrieking game of Blob. That didn't particularly bother me.

It was the adults that shocked me. Like, grown adults. Blithely hopping the line. It was like they were trying to snag a stack of ARCs at a library conference or something.

Ahahahahahaha! Sorry. I didn't get a whole lot of sleep, obvs, and am somewhat punchy.

Hopefully I'll see it sometime this weekend.
