While there's been some good buzz, I'm still tamping down my optimism: it seems unlikely that a Disney-made movie will include the part where P.L. Travers Was So Upset About The Movie That She Cried At The Premiere.

And I say all this being a big fan of both the book and the movie, just as separate entities. So I don't know why this has me feeling all twitchy.

BUT. BUT. The writer at Hollywood Elsewhere does really seem to think that the script has NUANCE OR WHATEVER, so MAYBE? But, to be honest, I think the trailer has more of a Feel-Good Vibe than I'd associate with the history (as I know it) OR with the original Mary Poppins.

SO. WE'LL SEE.
