Cats: WHERE'S THE NORMAL?

I know, I know, short answer: Bwahahahahahahaha.

But! Lately, I've noticed that when Lemon wakes up from one of her MANY, MANY NAPS (tough life), and discovers that I'm not in the room with her, she starts yowling. And she keeps it up until either I find her or she finds me.

(I have no idea if she does this when I'm not home. I suspect not, and that it's more like this.)

Anyway, MOSTLY, it's not an issue. (I mean, yes, she's clearly needy and spoiled and whatnot, but BEYOND THAT, it's not an issue.)

Last night, though.

Last night, it was hot. It rained buckets, so it was cooler in the living room than in the bedroom. So Lemon slept there instead of where she usually does, which is splayed across me.

And so every couple of hours, she'd just start caterwauling. And so every couple of hours, I'd drag myself out of bed to check in—there's no ignoring her, she's like an air raid siren—and she'd be all blasé, like, "Oh, were you looking for me?" What a jerk.

I'm so tired.

ANYWAY, TELL ME SOME OF YOUR BAD CAT HORROR STORIES TO EASE MY PAIN/KEEP ME FROM FALLING ASLEEP AT WORK, PLEASE.
