New paperbacks (that I've read):
Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List, by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan (new UK edition, I think?):
The more you understand someone, the harder it is to completely dislike them. And by the end, I liked Naomi and Ely. Not enough to feel the magnetism that most everyone else seemed to feel (except Kelly), but enough to care about them.
Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan (same?):
After reading only a chapter or two, I fully believed in both Nick and Norah -- as much as I love Cohn and Levithan, they fell away. I heard Nick and Norah's voices, not Rachel and David's.
Martyn Pig, by Kevin Brooks (also this one?): I love this book, though I've never written about it. It's been on my mind lately, though, so maybe I'll revisit.
Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, by April Genevieve Tucholke: As I said here, I had issues. Given that the sequel is due out soon, I'll revisit and see if I can articulate.
Previously: New YA: June 22-28.
