Made of win: Lumberjanes.

I'm only two issues in, but I've found so, so much to love about this book.

I love that in moments of stress or excitement, the girls—Jo, April, Mal, Molly, and Ripley—invoke the names of famously groundbreaking women (and yes, I looked it up: that specific habit is indeed a nod to Little Women, AND Jo was named for Jo March and Ripley was named for Ellen Ripley):

I love that the badges are hilariously punny, and also that they are awarded at totally random moments:

I love that there is something that makes me laugh or smile on almost every page:

Issue #2.

I love that their go-to swearword is 'junk':

I love that, despite their constant breaking of the rules, despite the fact that they have not interacted with any of the girls in the other cabins (in the first two issues, anyway), despite being so different in terms of personalities and interests, that the girls always have each others' backs, and that they genuinely dig being Lumberjanes:

I love the ongoing mutual crush between Molly and Mal:

Issue #2.

I love that April, the most stereotypically 'girly' member of the group, is also one of the scrappiest:

And I love that every issue ends with a mix CD:
