What I'm Watching: March 9

Schitt$ Creek Season Four

Schitt$ Creek Season Four

Have you been watching Schitt$ Creek?

If not, EXCITING! You have so much joy ahead of you—and the first three seasons are streaming on Netflix.

Imagine the basic premise of Arrested Development—a super rich family loses all of their money and is forced to live together—but with a cast of characters who, like, are actual human beings who GROW AND CHANGE?

And who are changed by the town they move to and who change said town in turn?

And features the comedy stylings of NOT ONLY Catherine O'Hara and Eugene Levy and Chris Elliott, but also Dan Levy and Annie Murphy, who aren't siblings in real life but play off one another so beautifully that you'll have to remind yourself that they're not actually related?

And is really, really, really smart and funny and entirely rewatchable—we've watched the first three seasons three times each and keep noticing new things—AND also on occasion it punches you in the heart so hard that you start crying and have to watch the majority of a Certain Episode through your fingers because you care so much about these characters that seeing them devastated and vulnerable kind of makes you want to stressbarf?

*cough*

Not that I know anyone who did that last night, nope, not at all.

Have you stopped reading this and fired up the first episode yet? Because, seriously and for real, you should.

If you do already watch it, HAVE YOU BEEN WATCHING SEASON FOUR?

BECAUSE IT IS AMAZING SEE ABOVE IN RE: THE CRYING OMG OMG OMG I AM DEAD THE END

PS. And I just saw that it's been renewed for a fifth season! Which is lovely. I will absolutely watch this show for as long as the cast wants to keep making it.
