As always, not sure how long these will last, so if you’ve been meaning to get ‘em, now is the time!
• How Long ‘Til Black Future Month?, by N. K. Jemisin: I read this one back during Maine’s lockdown, and I am STILL talking about it to patrons whenever the opportunity arises? (Like, if someone mentions that they like short stories, I bring it up. If they mention that they like fantasy and speculative fiction, I bring it up. …if they happen to look in my general direction or call to make a browsing appointment or walk in the door, I bring it up…)
It’s phenomenal across the board, and even though I already own the ebook version, I love it so much that I’m actually leaning towards buying it in hardback, too??
• On the Come Up, by Angie Thomas: At this point, Angie Thomas is such a Known Quantity that it seems unlikely that you all don’t already have a copy of this one kicking around your house or ereader, but JUST IN CASE, here it is, on sale.
More tomorrow, if I continue to be in the mood?
