• The Sun Down Motel, by Simone St. James: During the shutdown last year, this book and The Broken Girls got passed around our Socially Distanced Book Club like HOT CAKES, and I will forever feel a good deal of affection towards them for helping us all get through a profoundly weird and scary time.

• Trust Exercise: A Novel, by Susan Choi: IT IS SO GOOD; I give it a little pat every time I walk by it in the library.

• The Husband's Secret, by Liane Moriarty: Her books are still so popular at the library; I still haven’t read one. SHOULD I???

• A Stranger in the House: A Novel, by Shari Lapena: DITTO.

• If I Had Your Face: A Novel, by Frances Cha: Contemporary fiction set in Seoul about four ladies; told in alternating narratives (which is definite literary catnip for me); life and friendship and so on. I brought so many books home from the library this week, but I am seriously considering starting this one RIGHT NOW???
