Time Magazine covers 5 "Great" New Books.
Unfortunately, the Chosen Five includes Small Steps. Dude. It's new, I guess, but it ain't great. Not by a long shot. A long, long shot.
Granted, I haven't read Clique #5, but if it's anything like the first in the series, it SO TOTALLY doesn't deserve to be profiled as a "Great Book".
And puh-LEASE. Could the media get a new YA lit hook? I am SO OVER the "There's life after Harry Potter" schtick.
I would like to read The Book Thief, though. Enthusiasm sounds fun, too. Then again, I'm not really sure if I can trust the reviewer.
